We have been surprised recently to find out how few senior executives actually do anything for their own CPD. Rather they look at NOT doing anything for fear it is misconstrued or that people in their organisations need it more than they do!!
In this fast paced, ever changing business environment, where ‘bouncing-back’ from adversity has become a daily activity, never have senior leaders needed to be more resilient.
Ask yourself:
“ Have I got the skills and strategies to navigate the next tsunami?’
Have you even thought about it? Do you actually take time out for yourself to JUST THINK? Ask yourself these questions:
- Who is looking after me?
- Who can I trust in my darkest hour?
- What are the new ‘tools’ in the marketplace?
- Where are their credible, like-minded business people I can talk to who really understand?
If the answers coming back to you are moderate to negative then consider the consequences of you not attending to your CPD. It’s not being selfish to seek to maintain your edge, adapt to challenges and inspire your teams.
